Oral Cancer

Oral cancer most commonly arises from the lining of the mouth known as the mucosa. It most commonly involves the tongue but may also occur on the floor of the mouth, cheek lining, gingiva (gums), lips, or palate (roof of the mouth).

The vast majority of new growths or lesions in the mouth are not cancerous and it is always advisable to get a specialist opinion.
